New stuff

So I came across a Mac and wait, before I go on, yes I know I hate macs with a passion, but my old Acer is starting to show her age. So in preparation for the unthinkable I decided to create some kind of contingency so in the event that my Acer decides to make the ultimate sacrifice I won't be in the middle of Biomechanics with my tail in the wind. Its pretty much dumb luck that I could fix the stupid thing, because it just so happened that a friend of mine had a couple laptops that she was throwing away. Me being the tinkerer that I am I asked if i could have them and, to her delight that they would be put to some kind of use, she gave them to me =] On one the board was broken and the other one the power plug was scragged so I decided to pull the HDs and ram. Lucky me that that old mac used pc 5200 ram, if my memory serves me correct, and I swapped the 160 gb HD for one of the 350 I pulled from the other lappys. So basically all I'm waiting for is the OS X I ordered and it should be good to go....hopefully lol O I also had to epoxy one spot of the case where it was cracked and hanging off....and it doesn't have a battery but ya know what?! One problem at a time. Even tho it needs a batt. I still have only put 53 dollars in to it out of my own pocket, which I'm pretty jazzed about. O and the 8 key is missing but really how many times do you need to use an 8??? Seriously XD Other than that class has started back up, classes look like there going to be classes, and thus begins another struggle of fighting procrastination. I'll blog again hopefully on my "new Mac" sometime after labor day :3
